Karoo Central Gets Great Review

Karoo Central, Williston Mall

Karoo Central is a quirky and beautiful advertising platform. (Just like the Williston Mall.)

Karoo Central’s novel approach to advertising as a parallel site to Karoospace.co.za has received a wonderful and unexpected endorsement – a week before its official launch.

On February 19, 2015, under the headline “Most Beautiful Stuff Ads Site in the World?” business writer Christo Volschenk wrote:

“Karoo Central boasts a few hundred listings only (and it’s unlikely there will at any stage be many more than that), but every listing has been individually crafted by the owners/operators with beautiful copy and pictures. Maybe this is where others can learn from Karoo Central.”

Karoo Central, Karoo trading store

Karoo Central offers all the delight of an eccentric trading store.

Volschenk described Karoo Central as “One of the most unusual horizontal classified platforms with a regional focus”.

He adds some interesting detail on the Karoo’s connectivity:

“[Karoo Central] is unusual for several reasons, but here is the main one: the Karoo is a beautiful semi-desert roughly the size of Germany with a total population of about 300,000, of which about 10 percent is Internet-connected. (Population in Germany: 82 million.)”

US-based AimGroup.Com, for whom Volschenk writes, is a global consultancy and authority on interactive media and online marketplaces.
